Life Is Sweet

when someone likes something you made! I am so thrilled to be in the April Issue of Better Homes & Garden's Scrapbooks Etc., and featured on the cover!!! I made cupcakes with
Divine Twine a while ago, which were featured on their blog, and the magazine contacted me a few months ago.

How thrilling is that??? It made my year!

Hearty Gift

Just had to share what my son made for his Valentine.

There are two parts to this story. The first is that he asked me to go to (and the Heavens opened up to shine upon....)

♥☼☺THE CRAFT STORE

with him to help get everything he would need. Do you know how very sweet those words felt in going down my ear canal??? I had a great time with him there.

The second part of the story was watching him work so patiently hand stitched it all together (and not be able to give him any help)! He really put his heart in it. I think it turned out almost as adorable as his girlfriend.

All You Need Is...Inspiration!

I hope you had a lovely Valentine's Day! I was inspired to use some of my Cotton Candy pink Divine Twine to lace up a miniature corset, making it a one-of-a-kinda cute card!

I got the mannequin form at Paris Flea Market and knew just what I wanted to do with it!
A doily, a bit of glitter, some paper and a few rhinestones later, viola!

But the inspiration didn't stop there--I used some of Whisker Graphic's Bitty Bags (I used Pink Frosting) to make a sweet banner too!

More doilies (how did I ever live without them?), stamped letters topped on some glittered Sweet Stickys labels and I was really feelin' the LOVE!

To see more of the Whisker Graphic's Design Team (of which I am happy to be a part of!) ideas, head over to the Whisker Graphics Blog! There is a product giveaway going on right now!

An Old Place To Shop

New is good, but old can be better. And if you're looking for a new place to do a little shopping for cool old stuff, then you know you're in the right place when you stop your car here:

and enter inside to find this guy (owner, Cisco Diaz) amongst his old, wonderfully rusty and sometimes sparkly treasures at Restore And Rework at 2572 San Carlos Drive, Castro Valley during his (once monthly) February opening.

Here's the 10 cent tour:

There's lots to see, so don't waste any time. there's also a cute little shop next door called "Ruffles & Rust Vintage". You can sign up for his newsletter/email reminder HERE.
