Vintage Thingies Thursday ~ Keep On Truckin'

Behold the "GMC Rainbow". Not made of rain and refracted sunshine, I know, but these hunks of colorful metal sure lit up my day when I discovered them in an alley (in front of someones house!) just down the street from the shop! They look to be a similar age as my dream truck (a 1962 Chevy 5 window, with the happy grill, not the beefy grill). Notice how they all smiled for the camera?
Excuse me, ma'am, but your vintage is showing! Go to Colorado Lady's blog this and every Thursday to see more!

  1. I love old cars/trucks! They just have so much character and can you imagine the tales they could tell if they could only speak.
    Have a great day!

  2. I love these old trucks. I so wish we had a vintage car to redo...I am the one who wants one, not my DH. Poo. I loved your picture today, how fun finding them all lined up in a row.

  3. Love the old trucks all lined up in a row...and didn't they fancy themselves up with pastel paint jobs! :)

One of our family's fun memories is of going to the drive-in one night and discovering a vintage car show outside! We got a two-for-one!

  5. If only they could talk and tell their stories of trips taken and places they've seen. Happy VTT and have a lovely weekend.

  6. Aren't they wonderful! I too would like to know where they have been and who owned them. My Dad loved cars. He could have told you what each of these models were and the year.
    Great Vintage stuff!

  11. Jan, what a great post today. Love old trucks. My grandpa and I would always load up in his old Studebaker and go to the river to catch crawdads. Well, he'd catch them and I'd run away screaming. =)

  15. I am in love with that photograph!

Until now, I thought my dream truck would be red. Not anymore. Pink, definitely pink.

I might even have to change my logo at: www.homegrownlogos.com
