Here's a peek at what I finally finished today. I must have been in a time warp--it seemed to take me the better part of the day, but every moment was enjoyed.
Two beady eyes are watching you
while one boney hand is offering you a gift.
Lots of silver, orange and black are all
encased under glass and put up on a black pedestal.
I love this charming skeleton. Shes a bit too skinny for my taste but she's cute. I love her crown and her wings. Did you paint the candlestick? I like that she is up on a pedestal. As usual, I'm doing too many things at once. I've got to finish a crocheted blanket that I'm working on soon because the baby has arrived and it would be a good idea to give it to her before she grows up.
...the nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens, but just those that bring simple pleasures, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string.
-Lucy Maud Montgomery

Under glass is a good place for such a spooktacular creation. Can't let that little skeleton loose. He looks like a mischief maker to me.
